New Delhi, April 25, 2025: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued an important public notice through its Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB), inviting all medical colleges and institutions across India to submit self-declaration forms. This call targets those institutions that have applied to start new postgraduate (PG) medical courses, establish new undergraduate (UG) medical colleges, or increase MBBS and PG medical seats for the Academic Year 2025–2026.

Key Details of the NMC Notice

The Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) under NMC has mandated that all applicant institutions submit their self-declaration forms by 6:00 PM on May 9, 2025. Along with the forms, a notarised undertaking/affidavit on a ₹100 stamp paper, as per the annexure attached to the notice, must also be uploaded.

Who Must Submit and What Forms Are Required?

  • For starting new postgraduate medical courses or increasing PG seats:

    • Standard Assessment Form Part-B of the respective specialty (or Form 2.1 if specialty-specific form is unavailable), covering data from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.

    • Form A (Institutional Information common for all PG specialties).

  • For establishment of new UG medical colleges or increase in UG seats:

    • Self-Declaration Form and Undertaking (Form referenced in S.No.1.6), covering the same period.

Authorized Signatories

  • UG courses: Forms must be signed by the Principal/Dean, the Nodal Officer, and at least three Heads of Departments (including at least one clinical and one non-clinical department).

  • PG courses: Forms must be signed by the Principal/Dean, the Nodal Officer, and the concerned Head of Department.

Submission Process

All forms and the notarised affidavit must be submitted online via the link provided on the NMC website under the Information Desk > Download Application Forms section. Institutions are urged to ensure timely and accurate submission in compliance with the guidelines.
