The life-saving event was made possible after the family of a 58-year-old man from West Bengal, declared brain-dead following a critical medical emergency, gave consent to donate his viable organs.

The successful recovery procedure yielded one liver and two kidneys, which were swiftly transferred to the Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre (IKDRC) on the Civil Medicity campus to save three patients suffering from end-stage organ failure.
