PINE BLUFF, Ark. – A confirmed case of pertussis, more commonly known as whooping cough, has been reported within the Watson Chapel School District (WCSD), officials announced Tuesday.
According to a release issued by Superintendent Keith McGee, district administrators were notified of a single case affecting the high school community.
In response, Superintendent McGee stated that the district is actively collaborating with the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) to implement necessary health and safety measures.
