Mumbai/Ahmedabad, February 11, 2025 – The Adani Group has announced a significant partnership with US-based Mayo Clinic to establish Adani Health City (AHC), a pioneering initiative aimed at advancing world-class medical research, affordable healthcare, and education in India. As part of this initiative, the Adani family will contribute over Rs 6,000 crore to develop two integrated health campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
The integrated campuses will feature two 1,000-bed multi-super-specialty hospitals and medical colleges, marking a major step towards enhancing India’s healthcare infrastructure. Each medical college is set to enroll 150 undergraduate students, along with 80+ residents and 40+ fellows annually. The initiative is part of a larger Rs 10,000 crore social donation commitment made by Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani during his son Jeet Adani’s wedding celebrations, which will be directed towards various social causes.
Expansion Plans for Adani Health City
According to the Adani Group, the launch of AHC is just the beginning, with plans to establish similar integrated health cities in other towns and cities across India. These campuses will serve as hubs for cutting-edge medical research, training for future medical professionals, and advanced patient care.
“Proud to launch Adani Health City in partnership with Mayo Clinic, pioneering world-class medical research, affordable healthcare, and education,” Gautam Adani stated in a post on social media platform X. “Starting with two 1,000-bed hospitals and medical colleges in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, we are on a mission to bring cutting-edge medical innovation across India.
