Virtual meeting

The Outbreak Toolkit (OTK) was developed to support rapid detection, response to and sustain effective response to all health emergencies. The OTK seeks to ensure timely and effective outbreak investigations by providing a one stop shop of evidence-based tools developed by WHO and partners for outbreak investigation and response. It also encompasses a community-centered approach. The OTK proposes the use of evidence-based tools that may be adapted to each context to ensure efficient data collection, analysis, and interpretation during outbreaks. This leads to evidence-informed measures to respond to the outbreak.

Objective

To inform about the Outbreak toolkit (OTK) and showcase its usefulness with practical examples, including how it can be used to investigate outbreaks of zoonotic diseases like avian influenza.
