Los Angeles, May 15, 2025 – Lala Kent, known for her role on Bravo’s hit reality series Vanderpump Rules, has shared a candid health update with her fans after doctors discovered an abnormality in her eye. The 34-year-old reality star revealed that she will soon undergo a biopsy to remove a small mass from her eye, a development that has left her both anxious and hopeful.
From Allergies to a Second Opinion
Kent first noticed a discoloration on the white of her eye (sclera) about two months ago. Initially, her doctor suspected it was an inflamed pinguecula-a common, benign eye growth-or possibly an allergic reaction. However, when prescribed eye drops failed to improve the irritation, Kent’s concerns grew.
“I went to a doctor’s appointment today-to a doctor that came very highly recommended-and he looked at it and said, ‘I do not think it is [an inflamed pinguecula] at all. I actually want to biopsy it because, to me, it looks like it could be pre-cancer,’” Kent shared on her Instagram Stories this week.
Preparing for a Biopsy
Doctors are now working to expedite surgery to remove the mass and determine its nature. Kent explained that the procedure will involve numbing her eye and possibly placing a stitch or performing a skin graft, depending on the outcome.
“Again, it could be nothing, and that is the hope-that when they go in, it’s nothing,” she told her followers, candidly admitting she was “kind of freaking out a little.”
Navigating Uncertainty
Kent, who is mom to 4-year-old Ocean and infant daughter Sosa, has been open about her anxiety as she awaits answers. She reflected on how easy it is to offer reassurance to others during health scares, but how difficult it is to apply that advice to oneself.
“All you can do is just sit here and stress and think about every possible horrendous situation, and all of the advice that you give to people completely goes out the window. So, I’m trying to stay positive,” Kent said.

Kent’s transparency has resonated with fans, many of whom have reached out with messages of support. As she prepares for her biopsy, Kent continues to share her journey, hoping her experience encourages others to seek second opinions and advocate for their health.
