Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, spearheaded the inauguration of crucial healthcare facilities in Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant leap in advancing medical infrastructure and services across the region.
The event witnessed the inauguration of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) Sub-Zonal office and Central Drug Testing Laboratory (CDTL) in Indore, along with the establishment of various other vital healthcare facilities, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving medical access and services in the state.
Joined by prominent dignitaries including Shri Rajendra Shukla, Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, and Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, State Cabinet Minister, Dr. Mandaviya highlighted the pivotal role of the newly inaugurated facilities. He emphasized that the CDSCO office will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality medicines for citizens while also streamlining regulatory functions for pharmaceutical industries in Madhya Pradesh.
The Central Drug Testing Laboratory, equipped with high-quality laboratory services for drug testing, is set to bolster the availability of essential and superior-grade medicines, elevating the health standards of the population.
Additionally, six new health facilities at AIIMS Bhopal were inaugurated, including cutting-edge technologies like a Drone Station, Dexa Scan Suit, and a sophisticated Viral Load Assay system, demonstrating a substantial leap forward in healthcare services for the entire state.
Dr. Mandaviya reiterated the government’s commitment to expanding AIIMS facilities across the nation, following the footsteps of AIIMS New Delhi, with 17 institutions established in the last decade, totaling 23 AIIMS in the country.
During the celebration of the 75th Foundation Day of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore, the Union Health Minister emphasized the government’s efforts in implementing the One District One Medical College initiative, focusing on eradicating diseases like TB, Kala-azar, and leprosy.
The event witnessed the launch of the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College alumni network, release of the institute’s postal stamp and diamond jubilee souvenir, and the unveiling of the book “Essential Pediatrics,” authored by Dr. V K Paul, Member (Health), NITI Aayog.
Dr. Mandaviya praised Indore’s residents for their commitment to preventive healthcare, citing the city’s model as sustainable, scalable, and affordable. The “Health of Indore” initiative, the world’s largest preventive healthcare survey, has now transitioned into a nationwide campaign aiming to conduct preventive healthcare tests for over 10 lakh people across ten cities.
This event marks a monumental leap forward in healthcare infrastructure and services, aligning with the government’s vision of accessible, high-quality healthcare for all citizens of Madhya Pradesh.
