The Union Health Minister, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, alongside esteemed dignitaries including Prof. S. P. The newly inaugurated establishments encompass a Mother and Child Block, Surgical block, National Centre for Geriatrics, New Paid Ward in Main hospital, Center for Advanced Research in Hospital Infection Control, Forensic DNA Laboratory at JPN Apex Trauma Centre, Centre for Medical Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CMIE), and Private Ward Wing at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Jhajjar.
During the inauguration, Dr. Mandaviya commended AIIMS New Delhi as a “lighthouse” illuminating the path for healthcare standards across the nation. He hailed the institution’s unparalleled reputation, acknowledging the dedication and enthusiasm exhibited by its diligent medical practitioners. Emphasizing the motive behind the new facilities, he asserted their significance in enhancing healthcare services, affirming the commitment to extend quality and affordable healthcare to the remotest corners of the country.
Highlighting the government’s transformative healthcare initiatives, the Union Health Minister spotlighted the establishment of 1,70,000 Ayushman Aarogya Mandir, designed to revolutionize healthcare accessibility. Dr. Mandaviya underscored the pivotal role of these health and wellness centers, equipped with tele-consultation facilities, in streamlining healthcare accessibility for the general populace, saving valuable time, effort, and resources.
Moreover, Dr. Mandaviya accentuated India’s remarkable strides in augmenting medical education, illustrating the substantial rise in medical colleges, MBBS, PG, and nursing seats over the last decade. He emphasized India’s global outreach through initiatives like ‘Heal in India’ and ‘Heal by India,’ aimed at harnessing the burgeoning medical tourism sector.
