CHENNAI, April 8, 2025 – Marking World Health Day yesterday, SIMS Hospital in Vadapalani, Chennai, launched a significant community health initiative named ‘Care Bears – Nurturing the Future’. This program aims to provide free, comprehensive paediatric healthcare to children under the age of five across Chennai.
Aligned with the theme ‘Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures’, the ‘Care Bears’ initiative focuses on early detection and preventive care. The program plans to offer regular health screenings and educational sessions for parents, aiming to reach and positively impact the health of 10,000 young children by the end of 2025.
The launch event was inaugurated by Dr. Kalanidhi Veerasamy, Honourable Member of Parliament. Speaking at the event, Dr. Raju Sivasamy, Vice President of SIMS Hospital, highlighted the critical importance of early preventive healthcare measures in ensuring the long-term well-being of children.
Supported by Government Palvadi and Kindergarten schools, the initiative leverages a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver essential health support.
