New Delhi– Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, today launched The TeacherApp, an innovative digital platform developed by the Bharti Airtel Foundation. Aimed at revolutionizing education in India, the app equips teachers with future-ready skills, fostering a new era of classroom engagement and pedagogical excellence in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The launch event, held under the theme “Elevating Teachers, Elevating India,” saw the presence of distinguished personalities, including Shri Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, and Smt. Mamta Saikia, CEO of Bharti Airtel Foundation. The audience comprised education sector dignitaries, school principals, teachers, and B.Ed. students.
Highlighting the transformative potential of the initiative, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Teachers are the real Karmayogis shaping the future of our nation. With the launch of The TeacherApp, we are taking a significant step towards continuous capacity building of educators, leveraging innovation and technology to meet the aspirations of the NEP 2020.”
The Minister emphasized the pivotal role of educators in building a knowledge-driven society, stating that enlightened teachers create enlightened students who can lead India’s growth story in the 21st century.

The app has been thoughtfully designed with direct input from teachers to address on-ground challenges and empower educators nationwide. Key highlights include:

- Over 260 hours of curated and created content, including courses, videos, podcasts, and webinars.
- A unique “Teaching Kits” section offering 900 hours of tools like lesson plans, project-based activities, worksheets, and question banks.

- Thematic festivals, expert sessions, competitions, and live webinars to promote collaboration and continuous learning.
- Community Building:
- A dedicated space for teachers to share impact stories, exchange ideas, and celebrate achievements.
