Today marked a historic milestone in India’s healthcare landscape as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jammu, underscoring a transformative leap towards accessible and advanced healthcare services in the region. Alongside the AIIMS inauguration, the Prime Minister also launched and laid the foundation stone for various developmental initiatives while engaging with beneficiaries of central schemes.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries including Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir; Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions; and Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament from Jammu.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi hailed the significant strides in healthcare infrastructure witnessed in Jammu & Kashmir, highlighting the exponential growth in medical colleges and MBBS seats over the past decade.
