NEW DELHI, April 22, 2025 – Patanjali Research Institute has announced what it claims is a significant advancement in the treatment of psoriasis, citing research recently published in the international peer-reviewed journal Inflammation Research, part of the Taylor & Francis group.

According to reports, the research highlights the potential effectiveness of Patanjali’s Psorogrit tablets and Divya Taila oil in managing the chronic autoimmune skin condition. Psoriasis is characterized by red, itchy, and scaly patches on the skin and can cause considerable discomfort and distress.

Acharya Balkrishna, co-founder of Patanjali, reportedly described the products as “infallible medicines” developed after extensive research by the organization’s scientists. He emphasized the suffering caused by psoriasis, noting that conventional medicine often lacks a permanent cure. “Psoriasis is a serious autoimmune disease that causes immense suffering, and until now, there was no known permanent cure,” Balkrishna was quoted as saying. “Today, Patanjali has demonstrated that even diseases deemed incurable can be treated through natural herbs.”

The published research reportedly involved preclinical studies on mouse models. Psoriasis-like conditions were induced in mice using two different methods (Imiquimod-induced and TPA-induced). These models were then treated with Psorogrit tablets administered orally and Divya Taila applied topically. According to the reports, the results indicated positive outcomes, including improvements in skin symptoms and a reduction in inflammation markers in the treated models.

This development marks Patanjali’s latest foray into claiming treatments for conditions often considered challenging to manage, highlighting their focus on traditional Ayurvedic approaches backed by modern scientific research methodologies.
