New Delhi, June 14, 2025 — The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice urging postgraduate (PG) medical students admitted for the 2024-25 academic year to verify their names on the official NMC portal, after discovering that several colleges failed to upload complete admission data.
According to the notice dated June 12, 2025, the Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the NMC has found that while details of 47,164 PG medical students are available on the portal, some colleges have either not uploaded any details or provided incomplete information. The NMC’s repeated circulars and public notices had previously instructed all medical colleges to submit the requisite data by the extended deadline of June 10, 2025.
The Commission has advised students admitted to MD, MS, or Diploma (Broad Specialty) courses for the 2024-25 academic year to immediately check the uploaded list on the NMC website. Those whose names are missing are urged to contact their respective Directorate of Medical Education or Counselling Authority without delay. The move comes as part of the NMC’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and compliance with the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulation, 2023, which mandates that all admissions be processed through common counselling.
NMC Secretary Dr. Raghav Langer reiterated the call for verification in a notice issued on June 13, 2025, emphasizing the importance of students confirming their admission status to avoid any future complications regarding their eligibility or academic records.
