More than 22 lakh candidates appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2025, conducted nationwide on Sunday, May 4. The exam was held in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Exam Difficulty and Candidate Feedback

Students who took the medical entrance test reported that this year’s paper was notably more time-consuming and challenging compared to previous years. The increased difficulty level has heightened anticipation around the forthcoming answer key and results.

Provisional Answer Key Release Timeline

With the exam concluded, all eyes are now on the release of the provisional answer key. According to reports from Odisha TV and past trends, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to publish the provisional answer key towards the end of May 2025.

Once released, candidates will have the opportunity to raise objections to any answers they believe are incorrect. This objection window is likely to open in the first week of June. Candidates must note that a non-refundable fee will be charged for each question challenged. All submitted objections will be reviewed by subject matter experts before finalizing the answer key.

Final Answer Key and Result Announcement

After considering the objections, the NTA will release the final answer key. This version will be used to calculate candidates’ scores and rankings.

The NEET UG 2025 results are anticipated to be declared around June 14, approximately four to five weeks after the examination. Both the final answer key and results will be accessible on the official NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in.

How to Check the Answer Key and Results

Candidates can check the provisional answer key by logging into the NEET UG portal using their application number and date of birth once it is available. The same login credentials will be used to access the final results.
