In a significant move to promote medical education in regional languages, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced a series of incentives for students pursuing MBBS and BDS courses in Hindi medium. The initiative aims to encourage more students, especially from rural and Hindi-speaking backgrounds, to opt for professional medical education in their mother tongue.

50% Discount on Examination Fees:
Students choosing to study MBBS or dental science in Hindi medium will receive a 50 percent reduction in their examination fees. -

The MBBS in Hindi medium program was first launched in Madhya Pradesh in October 2022. Since its inception, around 30 students have opted for the Hindi medium track. The state government faced challenges such as translating complex medical terminologies and preparing bilingual textbooks. To address these issues, the entire MBBS syllabus from the first to the last semester has now been translated into Hindi, and all government medical colleges have been provided with these resources.
Additionally, the state has introduced the Anuwadani App to facilitate the translation of technical books into regional languages, including Hindi. Special training for faculty members and additional classes for students are also part of the support system to ensure smooth learning in the Hindi medium.
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla emphasized that these incentives are designed to remove language barriers in medical education and to recognize the talents of students proficient in Hindi. He assured that every possible facility would be provided to students appearing for exams in Hindi, including the appointment of Hindi examiners and arrangements for solution classes.
Medical and dental colleges affiliated with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University will submit lists of students opting for Hindi medium examinations to ensure proper implementation of the scheme.
