Taking to social media platform X, Chief Minister Banerjee revealed that Kolkata Medical College and Hospital has secured the top position, with SSKM Hospital closely following in second place. Expressing her elation, Banerjee extended her heartfelt congratulations to all the individuals associated with these esteemed institutions.
“I am delighted to share that the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has ranked Kolkata Medical College and Hospital as the No. 1 and SSKM Hospital as the No. 2 research institutions in Eastern India,” Banerjee stated in her post. “This recognition reaffirms my faith in the robust healthcare system of our state. My heartiest congratulations to everyone associated with these institutions.”
Currently on a visit to London, the Chief Minister underscored her conviction that West Bengal possesses one of the nation’s most advanced health infrastructures.
