New Delhi, 2025 – In a historic move towards strengthening global healthcare standards, India and Indonesia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Traditional Medicine Quality Assurance. The exchange of the MoU was witnessed by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and the President of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, at Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
The agreement, signed between the Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homeopathy (PCIM&H), Ministry of Ayush, and the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority, aims to enhance the safety, efficacy, and quality of traditional medicines. Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Ayush, emphasized that the MoU will help elevate global standards and promote a scientifically regulated approach to traditional medicine.
