Health authorities have detected Kunjin virus in NSW (Cowra) and Japanese Encephalitis in Victoria. This is a serious wake-up call as we head into summer.
Why it matters: Kunjin can cause encephalitis (brain swelling), and unlike JEV, there is no vaccine for it. Your only defense is stopping the bite.
Your Action Plan: ✅ Use strong repellent (DEET/Picaridin). ✅ Cover up during dawn & dusk. ✅ Tip out standing water at home.
