A final-year MBBS student from Goa Medical College has been booked by police for allegedly trespassing into the girls’ hostel of Goa Dental College and secretly recording videos of female students while they were bathing. The incident, which has caused shock and outrage among students and faculty, reportedly took place on the night of May 19th, 2025.
Details of the Incident
According to police reports, the accused student crossed the shared boundary between the adjacent Goa Medical College and Goa Dental College, both located in Bambolim village near Panaji. Between 9:45 pm and 10:00 pm, he allegedly entered the ground floor of the girls’ hostel and attempted to observe and record videos of female students in the bathroom using his mobile phone.
The incident came to light when the Girls Hostel Secretary of Goa Dental College & Hospital learned of the alleged act and promptly filed a complaint with the Agassaim police station. Police responded swiftly and registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the student for trespassing and invasion of privacy.
A police official commented, “The accused person committed a serious invasion of privacy, constituting a grave violation of law, decency, and the safety and dignity of female residents. Further investigation is in progress.”
