Under the leadership of Dr. Gaurav Dubey, a team of dedicated doctors helped bring a healthy baby boy into the world on Sunday, marking a historic moment for the temporary healthcare facility.
The 20-year-old mother, Sonam, gave birth to a baby weighing 2.4 kilograms. Dr. Dubey, the Nodal Medical Officer of the Maha Kumbh Mela, confirmed the achievement, stating, “This marks the first successful delivery at the Central Hospital in Maha Kumbh Nagar.” He praised his team, which included Dr. Nupur and Dr. Vartika, for their precision and dedication in ensuring a safe delivery.
Both mother and baby are in good health, a testament to the preparedness and efficiency of the medical setup at the Kumbh Mela. The hospital, equipped with a fully operational labor room, is providing maternity services for the first time, catering to the needs of the millions of pilgrims and visitors attending the event.
Rama Singh, the hospital matron, highlighted the significance of the achievement: “The delivery was carried out with utmost care and precision. It was a proud moment for us to provide such an essential service to the community.”
Sonam, the new mother, expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am very happy and grateful to all the staff members and doctors who ensured the safe delivery of my baby. My child is healthy, and I feel truly blessed. Whatever name the doctors and staff suggest for my child will be the name we choose.”
Her mother echoed the sentiment, adding, “This region, being the Kumbh area, holds divine significance. I am thankful to the doctors and other staff who provided such dedicated service. My grandchild is healthy, and the delivery was successful. This is a moment of great joy for us.”
