Lucknow: A fire at Lokbandhu Hospital, a government-run facility in Lucknow, sparked chaos and the evacuation of over 200 patients on Monday night. The incident occurred around 10 p.m., prompting a swift response to ensure the safety of those inside, according to reports from Pathikrit Chakraborty & Mohsin Usmani.

The fire is believed to have started due to a short circuit within the women’s medicine and emergency ward on the second floor. Thick smoke rapidly filled the area, necessitating the immediate relocation of patients, including those in critical condition.

While there were reports of a patient passing away while being transferred to SPIMS hospital, official confirmation is pending.
