The World Health Organization (WHO), the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) are hosting a special #EndTB webinar to launch an interagency field guide on tuberculosis (TB) prevention and care among refugees and other populations in humanitarian settings.
TB remains one of the leading infectious diseases causing millions to fall ill and lose their lives annually. Refugees and other populations in humanitarian settings face substantial threats to health and survival, such as poverty, crowded living conditions, undernutrition and poor access to health services – all conditions in which TB transmission thrives.
Join us at this special event to learn more about the interagency field guide, its plans for roll-out, as well as ongoing efforts and opportunities to combat TB in humanitarian settings.
