In a recent public notice issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC), colleges and institutions offering MBBS courses have been reminded to submit their Annual Declaration details on the NMC portal. The notice, referencing an earlier communication dated 10th April 2024, emphasizes the mandatory requirement for institutions to upload this data in accordance with the NMC Act of 2019 and relevant regulations.
Despite the initial notification, it has come to the attention of the NMC that some colleges have yet to fulfill this obligation by uploading their Annual Declaration details on the designated portal.
The repercussions for non-compliance are serious. The NMC has made it clear that colleges failing to submit the Annual Declaration Form risk having their permission for admission to MBBS courses for the academic year 2024-25 revoked.
To provide colleges with an opportunity to rectify this oversight, the NMC has extended the deadline for submission of the Annual Declaration Form to the 25th of April, 2024. This extension offers a brief window of opportunity for institutions to meet their regulatory obligations and ensure compliance with NMC requirements.
In addition to the deadline extension, the NMC has also provided technical support for any queries or assistance needed in the submission process.
