The total vaccinations across the country has crossed more than 12.69 crore mark today with more than 31.03 lakh vaccine doses administered till 8 pm.
The country has witnessed highest number of operational COVID Vaccination Centres today till date. Total 73,600 COVID Vaccination Centres (CVCs) were operational, marking a rise of more than 28,600 operational Vaccination Centres (45,000 CVCs on an average are functional on any given day). Workplace vaccinations have also enabled such a high turnout of beneficiaries.
The cumulative number of COVID19 vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 12,69,56,032 as per the 8 pm provisional report today.
These include 91,69,353 Healthcare Workers (HCWs) who have taken the 1st dose and 57,66,012 HCWs who have taken the 2nd dose, 1,14,21,780 Frontline Workers (FLWs) (1st dose), 56,64,213 FLWs (2nd dose), 4,23,06,422 for over 45 years old to 60 years old (1st Dose), 13,03,610 for over 45 years old to 60 years old (2nd dose), 4,66,41,581 for above 60 years (1st Dose) and 46,83,061 for above 60 years (2nd Dose) .

Total 31,03,474 vaccine doses were given till 8 pm today, the Ninety Fourth day of nationwide COVID19 vaccination. Out of which 21,67,374 beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and 9,36,100 beneficiaries received 2nd dose of the vaccine as per the provisional report. Final reports would be completed for the day by late tonight.

As directed by Government of India, all AIIMS (including AIIMS, New Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, Mangalagiri, Nagpur; JIPMER Puducherry; and PGIMER Chandigarh) have increased their number of Oxygen supported beds as well as ICU beds with ventilators.
They had 1448 oxygen supported beds and 519 ICU-ventilator beds. This number has been increased to 2113 Oxygen supported beds and 676 ICU-Ventilator beds.
This decision of Government of India will go a long way in addressing the urgent and critical need of hospital beds in States which have reported shortage of such beds, where AIIMS are present.
