Ashneer Grover, co-founder and former Managing Director of BharatPe, is gearing up to introduce a new mobile application called ‘ZeroPe,’ designed to facilitate healthcare financing through instant loans.

Currently in its testing phase, ZeroPe has surfaced on the Google Play Store listing. The app has been developed by Third Unicorn, a venture founded by Grover following his departure from BharatPe.

ZeroPe aims to provide immediate pre-approved medical loans of up to Rs 5 lakh to users to cover their healthcare expenses. In collaboration with Delhi-based Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) Mukut Finvest, the app ensures seamless access to instant loans for medical purposes. However, users can only avail themselves of this service at partnered hospitals, as stated on the ZeroPe app website.

The application process for a medical loan with ZeroPe is expected to be straightforward. Users will be required to download the app, complete a brief application, and subsequently receive instant loan approval.

“ZeroPe ensures a straightforward process by directly paying the approved loan amount on behalf of the user to the chosen hospital,” stated ZeroPe on its website.

In January 2023, Grover, along with his wife Madhuri Jain Grover and entrepreneur Aseem Ghavri, established Third Unicorn. Initially, the company ventured into the realm of fantasy sports with CrickPe, intending to compete with popular platforms like Dream11, Mobile Premier League (MPL), and My11Circle.

The launch of ZeroPe marks a significant stride in addressing the crucial need for accessible healthcare financing solutions, leveraging technology to provide timely assistance for medical expenses. With its innovative approach, ZeroPe is poised to make a notable impact on the landscape of healthcare financing in India.
