New Delhi, August 9, 2025 — The Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi, has taken a significant step towards enhancing preventive and diagnostic healthcare services with the inauguration of an Adult Vaccination Centre and a state-of-the-art Bronchoscopy Suite. The facilities were formally opened by Director General Medical Services (Army) and Senior Colonel Commandant, Lt Gen Sadhna S Nair.
The Adult Vaccination Centre will provide comprehensive immunisation for eligible adults, covering Influenza, Pneumococcus, Hepatitis, and other vaccine-preventable diseases. This initiative is aimed at improving public health readiness and reducing the risk of serious illnesses through timely vaccinations.
The Bronchoscopy Suite, equipped with advanced medical technology, will enable a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic airway procedures. This addition is expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to diagnose and treat complex respiratory conditions.
The inauguration event was attended by Lt Gen Shankar Narayan, Commandant, Maj Gen Amul Kapoor, Deputy Commandant, and senior officers from the hospital, station, and the Directorate, underscoring the Army Medical Corps’ commitment to providing world-class healthcare facilities for serving personnel, veterans, and their families.
