In a significant leap for healthcare accessibility, Amazon India has introduced Amazon Diagnostics, a new at-home lab testing service that empowers customers to book, schedule, and track diagnostic tests directly through the Amazon app. This initiative marks a major expansion of Amazon’s healthcare portfolio and is now available across six major Indian cities: Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, covering more than 450 PIN codes.
Developed in partnership with Orange Health Labs, a leading diagnostic service provider, Amazon Diagnostics offers customers access to over 800 diagnostic tests. The service is designed for convenience, providing doorstep sample collection in under 60 minutes and digital test reports for routine tests in as little as six hours. Customers can easily manage appointments, receive real-time updates, and access their digital reports securely via the Amazon Health dashboard.
The launch of Amazon Diagnostics is part of a broader strategy to integrate healthcare services under the Amazon Medical umbrella, which already includes pharmacy and clinic services. With this expansion, users can now access a comprehensive suite of healthcare solutions—including tele-consultations, medicine delivery, and accredited lab testing—all from the comfort of their homes.
Jayaramakrishnan Balasubramanian, Category Leader for Amazon Medical, highlighted the company’s commitment to making healthcare more accessible, reliable, and convenient. “By providing high-quality, doctor-verified lab testing seamlessly integrated into the Amazon app, we are empowering our customers with world-class diagnostic facilities from the comfort of their home,” he said.
The platform is also equipped with intelligent features such as real-time slot visibility, map-based address validation, and automated test preparation instructions, ensuring a seamless user experience. With stringent data privacy and quality standards, Amazon Diagnostics aims to set new benchmarks in India’s rapidly evolving health-tech sector.
