GURUGRAM: A distressing incident has emerged from a private hospital in Gurugram, where a 46-year-old air hostess has accused a staff member of sexually assaulting her while she was critically ill and on ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The alleged assault reportedly took place on April 6th, just one day after the woman was admitted to the hospital. Her admission followed an illness she experienced after swimming at her hotel pool on April 5th.
The incident only came to light after the air hostess was discharged from the hospital and confided in her husband about the traumatic experience she endured while incapacitated.
Following her complaint, an FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged against an unknown hospital staff member at the Sadar police station.4 Gurugram Police have confirmed that the victim’s official statement has been recorded before a magistrate.
Investigators are currently examining CCTV footage from the hospital as a crucial part of their efforts to identify and apprehend the suspect. Police officials have stated that the investigation is actively underway and expressed confidence that the accused will be arrested soon.
