300 Specialist Doctors Stationed at Super Speciality Hospital in Mahakumbh Nagar
On the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the Uttar Pradesh government has implemented extensive healthcare arrangements at Mahakumbh Nagar to ensure the safety and well-being of millions of devotees. Over 1000 medical personnel, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, have been deployed across the venue.
High-tech medical services, from minor procedures to major surgeries, have been established in all sectors of the Mahakumbh. At the heart of this effort, 300 specialist doctors are stationed at the state-of-the-art Super Speciality Hospital in Mahakumbh Nagar to handle any emergencies.
Impressive Healthcare Statistics
The healthcare efforts have already served a significant number of visitors. To date, more than 2 lakh patients have benefitted from OPD services at the central and auxiliary hospitals in Mahakumbh Nagar. Additionally, over 2.5 lakh pathology tests have been conducted to diagnose and treat various health conditions promptly.
Accessible Health Services
Dr. Gaurav Dubey, the nodal medical officer overseeing healthcare at the Mahakumbh Mela, highlighted that both Indian and international devotees are being provided medical care around the clock. “The government has ensured that all possible measures are in place to make the Mela safe and healthy for everyone,” said Dr. Dubey.
To further augment healthcare services, saints from local temples, monasteries, and akhadas are also playing an active role. Camps organized by these religious institutions offer Ayurvedic and Homeopathic treatments and medicines, contributing to holistic health solutions for devotees.
