In a bid to bridge the growing gap between demand and supply of skilled professionals in India’s healthcare sector, the Tech Mahindra Foundation, in collaboration with GIZ India, has launched the Healthcare-Careers portal. This innovative job platform is specifically designed to cater to Allied Healthcare Professionals, offering a streamlined recruitment process that connects qualified talent with opportunities across the nation.

The launch of the Healthcare-Careers portal comes at a critical time as the healthcare industry in India continues to experience rapid expansion. With an estimated 7.5 million jobs supported by the sector, there is an increasing demand for qualified professionals in various allied healthcare roles, including medical technicians, lab assistants, radiologists, physiotherapists, and more.

The initiative, backed by the collaborative project ASCENT, brings together the combined expertise of the Tech Mahindra Foundation, Tech Mahindra Limited, and GIZ India. Their goal is to create a dedicated platform that simplifies the hiring process for hospitals, healthcare institutions, and clinics, while simultaneously providing a one-stop destination for job seekers to find roles that align with their specialties and career aspirations.

The Healthcare-Careers portal is poised to be a game-changer in the industry, offering features that include personalized job matching, skill-based training, and career development resources. By narrowing the gap between job seekers and employers, the portal aims to enhance the overall efficiency of healthcare recruitment, ensuring that healthcare institutions have access to a qualified workforce.

Tech Mahindra Foundation has already been making strides in addressing the shortage of skilled professionals through its SMART Academy for Healthcare. These academies, located in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Mohali, Navi Mumbai, and Pune, provide training to young individuals aspiring to work in the healthcare sector. With plans for further expansion, the Foundation hopes to equip even more students with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the demands of the industry.

The Healthcare-Careers initiative is a significant step forward in improving employability and supporting the growth of India’s healthcare infrastructure. By connecting the right talent with the right opportunities, Tech Mahindra Foundation and its partners are helping to shape the future of healthcare in India, ensuring that the sector is well-equipped to meet the needs of a growing population.
