Reports emerged today revealing a startling incident at Airbus Atlantic in France, where over 700 employees reportedly fell ill following the company’s Christmas dinner on December 14. The cause of this mass food poisoning remains uncertain, leaving health authorities baffled.

Staff from the aviation manufacturer’s major site in western France experienced distressing symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea after partaking in the festive dinner. The Agence Regionale de Sante (ARS) highlighted these alarming developments, with affected individuals exhibiting clinical signs of food-related illness.

The dinner, held at a Montoir-de-Bretagne restaurant, included an array of dishes such as lobster, scallops, gone gars, tournedos, and desserts like hazelnut chocolate mousse and ice-cream logs. Employees fell ill within a 24 to 48-hour window post the dinner, expressing severe discomfort and pain.

One affected employee shared their harrowing experience, describing the ordeal as excruciatingly painful. “I had colic and headaches like I’d never had before. It was worse than giving birth,” the employee conveyed to a French newspaper.

While Airbus acknowledged the situation, stating that “around 100” employees had been affected, the ARS reported a significantly higher number. Airbus reassured its cooperation with health authorities to identify the cause and prevent future occurrences.

As investigations continue, the precise source of contamination remains elusive, raising concerns among both the company’s workforce and health officials. Airbus stands committed to ensuring the well-being of its employees and preventing similar incidents in the future.
